Hi there, welcome to the Amazing Paper Grace Creative Team Blog Hop. Today we are introducing a new die collection by Becca Feeken called Venise Lace. I'll list all of the creative team so that you don't miss a beat but don't forget, each of us will be giving away an Amazing Paper Grace die pulled from the comments left on each of the Amazing Paper Grace Creative Team blogs - details at the bottom of my post. We thought it would be awesome to introduce the dies along with samples to show what you can make. So, without further ado let me talk about the two dies I get to introduce:
First up is Spellbinders S5-308 Venise Lace - Hemstitch Rectangles by Joanna Krogulec of Amazing Paper Grace in the Venise Lace Collection.
For my project I created a card and decorated it with handmade flowers.
I loved the hemstitching effect. There are eight dies in this set. Four frames and four inlay dies. For the first layer on my card I nested two largest dies from the set and I layered it on A2 card base (4.25 x 5.50 in).
The second up is Spellbinders S4-792 Venise Lace - Cinch and Go Flowers Two by Joanna Krogulec of Amazing Paper Grace in the Venise Lace Collection.
For my flowers I used all dies from this set. The smaller ones I just folded in four and tucked here and there. I shaped petals with a ball stylus tool on a soft mat. Here is a link to my tutorial how I shape petals. The flower centers I made with light dry clay in a silicone mold ('buttons') and added some color using Distressing ink.
I love the size of the flowers and their shape. I also like a lot the hemstitched leaves which are in this set too.
