Introducing Amazing Paper Grace | Sweet Cardlets II

Last October we introduced Cardlets and they are back in Sweet Cardlets II!  A "Cardlet" is a small character motif that comes with a sentiment that fits within a  3 x 3 area and has a matching die.  It just so happens that this size is perfect for the ever-popular Slimline Cards.  Join us in introducing a new slimline as well - Hemstitch Slimline  - it will match Hemstitch Rectangles and all of the other Hemstitch Classics.

I am thrilled to partner with Amazing Paper Grace to bring you this little taste of inspiration!

Sweet Cardlets are just like stamps, but they are metal plates used in the Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System to transfer foil to paper through a combination of heat and pressure.  The Glimmer machine base is rolled through your die-cut machine to deliver that pressure. (Compatibility charts on the Spellbinders website)

The Inspiration behind Sweet Cardlets II

Since we are premiering the first Slimline Card Die for the Amazing Paper Grace line of dies, we wanted you to have plenty of sweet elements that fit onto the slimline.  The small motif 3" x 3" footprint makes this easy.  Add to that there is a matching die it makes for a cute pop of dimension on all of your cards - Slimline, A2 or A7.

Always mindful of the budget, Becca wanted to create a collection where each set is all you need to make a little card.  Sweet Cardlets are small motifs with a 3" x 3" footprint.  Sweet Cardlets also fit into the Cascade Card Base and work along with all of the Shadowbox Dies.

Each of our Creative Team members will show you their take on cards made with the Sweet Cardlets II Collection.

Today I would like to share a card and a shadowbox frame that I created with Spellbinders GLP-283 - You are My Home Glimmer Hot Foil Plate and Die set and Spellbinders S6-175 - Hemstitch Slimline.

My first project today:

I created a decorative frame for someone special. For this frame I hot foiled the main image in Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - Gold and the house, sentiments and the frame that lays under the main image with Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - Starburst.

The frame I created using Spellbinders S4-980 - Adjustable Shadowbox Frame with 3/4'' Border. It measures 5'' wide and 7'' tall. I have used a cardstock to create the base and then I painted it with gesso. When it dried I added a little bit of stencil with texture paste. Then I painted it with lilac and antique white acrylic paints. The flowers are Spellbinders S4-982 - Cinch and Go Flowers IV.

My second project today:

I created a slimline card to welcome the neighbours. On my card I added a house that I hot foiled and then die cut with the matching die. I used for the house and the sentiment Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - GLF-029.

I also added handmade flowers and leaves that I die cut in gold mirror card stock.

The flowers are Spellbinders S4-982 - Cinch and Go Flowers IV and skeleton leaves come from Spellbinders S4-1103 - Fan Flower Transom and from Spellbinders S5-446 - Sweet Rondure. Green leaves on my card and a shadowbox are from Spellbinders S4-1015 - Candlewick Rosebud.
