Amazing Paper Grace March Die of the Month Blog Hop – Mini 3D Vignette Floral Mason Jar
It doesn't take many steps past February to begin to ache for the stirrings of spring. Blooming flowers are the earliest sign and we have something to get you started. Today I'm introducing the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month for March 2021, Mini 3D Vignette Floral Mason Jar.
Becca Feeken of Amazing Paper Grace sent me these lovely dies to create with.
Imagine kicking rocks as you walk down a sweet rural road, on one of the first days the weather hints that the seasons are starting to change. You pick wildflowers and rush home to put them into a jar of water to keep them perky for the days to come. This is the inspiration that struck Becca when she put together the flower and mason jar combination. It's so cute and sweet!!
This easy to assemble mason jar can contain anything, but today it holds layered flowers. This flat side look is just like a real bouquet. Glue them or layer them with foam tape to make a dramatic statement. The mason jar can be left solid or cut like a frame for a shaker card the stems are simply threaded through each lid to secure them for arrangement. If you're partial to flat cards, use the filigree band with two brads to hold your stems! This makes a lovely card front bouquet, complete with stems.
There are 16 dies included in the Mini 3D Vignette Floral Mason Jar
My Project Today using Mini 3D Vignette Floral Mason Jar
I decorated my Mason Jar with a shaker. I used the main dies to die cut a front frame with a window, then two full pieces with acetate. I used double sided tape to adhere the front frame to the acetate, then I adhered the second acetate on 3D foam adhesive. I added some sequins and closed the shaker. I used double-sided tape to adhere the shaker to the main vignette.
Flowers that I added to my Mason Jar I die cut from textured watercolour paper that I painted with Jane Davenport Watercolors.
My Second Project
My second project today is a birthday card.
Also on this card I created a shaker. This time I just simply placed the shaker on my card front on 3D tape. I did not add the back piece as the back of my Mason Jar is my card front.
Flowers on my card I prepared the same way like the ones on my first card. The only difference is that I used watercolour smooth paper for these flowers.
I added a decorative accent in the bottom corner. I snipped the smaller accent with scissor so that I have this little swirl.

It’s always a treat to see your creations, Joanna! I have a feeling that the photos don’t capture all the beauty of color & light. I love the iridescent paper used on the lid. Gorgeous!
Your softly colored dimensional bouquet is gorgeous---love the touch of iridescent paper. The die fits beautifully on a slim card, too. I would love to use the dimensional bouquets to create table decor...would be so pretty for Easter.
