We are so tickled today to be introducing Vintage Treasures . You'll find a collection chalked full of classics!! As always, there is a rectangle, oval, square and circle that will work well with everything in your stash and are perfect for layering. Next are several embellishment sets. As you hop through all the links in the blog hop, you'll see all the new dies and how we used them.
Inspiration for Vintage Treasures
There is a special place in our hearts for those things kept in a hope chest. Other than a promise of the future, they symbolize things of value and keepsakes that bring back treasured memories. I delved there to find memories, filigree jewelry and keepsakes of old. From long-forgotten turn of the century jewelry to the edgings on an old tattered handkerchief, I love bringing the past into the present in a style that is ....well, timeless. These things -- bejeweled lockets, a sweet tiara and vintage adornments from long ago -- provided the sweet inspiration and restoration of some lovely, lovely Vintage Treasures.
The physical dies in this collection have an extra measure of flexibility and function. Most templates have an outer rim, and inlay and an inner rim that you can use for your sentiment.
My Projects For Today:
I created an easel stale card and a little treat holder.
To create and easel card I die cut the main decorative panel and then adhered it to the folding part of the easel card. On the picture below you can see that I used the bottom Outer Rim to cut the edge so it fits behind the main decorative panel.
I decorated my card with handmade flowers. To create flowers I used new Spellbinders S4-995 - Cinch and Go Flowers V.
My Other Projects For Today:
I created Thinking of You card for a friend together with a little basket to hold mini chocolate bar.
The flower on my card is from Spellbinders AC-0331 - Fresh Cuts Paper Flowers and leaves from Spellbinders S4-867 - Cinch and Go Flowers III.

To create the card front I die cut the decorative Pattern die in the card base and then I die cut the same Pattern die together with Outer Rim die in patterned paper and placed on the top of my card base on 3D tape. On the picture below you can see how it looks from the inside of the card.

To create the basket I die cut Pattern and Outer Rim together, scored in two places to create 1'' wide basket base and folded both sides up. On the sides I added extra panels. For the handle I used Spellbinders S4-984 - Shadowbox Ribbon Threader. I die cut it twice (in gold and in toffee card stock) and layered to make it is more sturdy.
